Two QR codes, two uses
| QR code | It opens… | Use it… |
|---|---|---|
| Slideshow | the slideshow in the player, ready to watch | after the event, or during it to watch the film again on a phone |
| Upload link | the page where guests drop their photos | during the event, to collect everyone's photos |
Either way, the person scanning needs no account and no app: their phone's camera is all it takes.
Get the slideshow's QR code
- In the studio, open your project and click Share.
- Choose the QR tab: your slideshow's QR code appears.
- Click Download QR Code. You get a 1024-pixel PNG image that stays sharp even when printed large.
On a phone, the project page also has a Share button with the QR code, link copying and a shortcut to open the player.
Get the upload link's QR code
- In Share, open the Uploads tab and create your link if you haven't already (see collecting your guests' photos).
- On the link's card, click QR code & share.
- Click Download QR code (PNG).
Where to put the QR code during the event
- On the tables: a small stand or the place card, with a line such as "Share your photos from tonight".
- Where people pass by: the bar, the buffet, the paper guestbook, the photo booth.
- On the invitation, if you also want to gather older photos (childhood memories, holidays with friends…).
- On the screen or projector in the venue, between two runs of the slideshow.
- In your thank-you message after the event: this time the slideshow's QR code, so everyone can watch the film again.
Changing your mind after printing
The QR code points to the slideshow's address. If you click Regenerate link, the old address stops working, and so do any QR codes already printed with it. To restrict access without reprinting, it's better to protect the slideshow with a password.
